Litigation Secretary - Encino

We are working with a reputable civil litigation law firm in Encino to look for an experienced Litigation Secretary. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive support to a small civil litigation practice, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

Responsibilities:

The Legal Secretary will provide comprehensive support to a small civil litigation practice. Key responsibilities include:

  • Calendaring/Docketing: Managing litigation deadlines, hearings, depositions, motions, and trial dates with a high level of accuracy.
  • Formatting Expertise: Preparing and formatting pleadings, motions, discovery responses, trial documents, subpoenas, and other litigation-related correspondence.
  • Template Utilization: Efficiently working with firm templates to create polished and consistent documents.
  • Discovery Support: Assisting with discovery tasks, including demands for expert witnesses, drafting shell responses, and managing production sets.
  • E-Filing: Handling state court e-filing with strong attention to detail and familiarity with court rules.
  • Drafting & Document Production: Preparing, revising, and finalizing a wide range of legal documents, including MSJs, letters, and declarations.
  • Administrative Support: General litigation administrative work, file management, and attorney support as needed.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, candidates must have the ability to work Monday through Friday during regular business hours.
